The month of September has come to an end and well it is time to form the Team Of The Month for the Premier League. For this, we shall be using the 4-3-3 formation to best denote each part of the field. While this list might feel like a list of all the best players in their respective position. It will be based on their performances during the Game Weeks in September. During this month we saw quite a few interesting matches such as the North London Derby, Chelsea vs Tottenham and Chelsea vs Manchester City.
Currently, as of writing this article, Chelsea is on top of the table on 16 points followed by the unbeaten Liverpool on 15 points. This is followed by a 4-way tie of 14 points between Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton and Brighton. This has been quite the month for the Premier League with the team on top of the table changing every week. The team that deserves a lot of applause should be Brighton this season who have been brilliant.
Defensive line of the September Team Of The Month
In the Goalkeeper Position, it is Ederson from Manchester City. The 28-year-old Brazilian has had a brilliant month of September. During the month he managed to not concede a single goal. While averaging a total of 3 saves a game.
In the right-back Position, it is Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United. The player has been quite the defensive impact for his team this month. While Manchester United only conceded 1 goal in the month. While the player averaged a pass accuracy of 85%, he also made a minimum of 1 tackle and interception during each match.
In the left-back Position, it will be João Cancelo from Manchester City. The Portuguese fullback had made the left-back position his own this season. While providing an assist in the 1-0 victory against Chelsea for Manchester City. He averaged a pass accuracy of 84% while providing a total of 3 key passes.
The first Centre back of this team will be Virgil Van Dijk from Liverpool. The Dutch centre back has made his recovery to first-team football at quite a promising rate. During the game against Crystal Palace, the player provided an assist as well. While averaging 5 clearances, the player had a high pass accuracy of 90%.
The Second Centre back of this team will be Thiago Silva From Chelsea. The 37-year-old veteran of the game has been immense for Chelsea this month. While scoring a goal against Tottenham in their 3-0, Thiago silva played a crucial sub role after the injury of Reece James against Manchester City. While he averaged 6 clearances and 2 tackles in the 3 games, he also had a pass accuracy of 86% in the three games.
The Midfield Three
The first midfield of the September Team of the month is Mateo Kovačić from Chelsea. The 27-year-old midfielder has been quite important for Chelsea to lay dominance in the midfield area. Already this month the player has scored a goal and provided 2 assists. While doing so he had a pass accuracy of 84% while providing 2 key passes. He averaged winning 6 ground duels during each game
The second midfielder in the team is Paul Pogba from Manchester United. The 28-year French midfielder has been amazing this season. While already providing 7 assists this season. The player has been averaging nearly a 90% pass accuracy in each game while providing 2 key passes in each and making 2 tackles in each game.
The final Midfielder in the team is Fabinho from Liverpool. The Brazilian Midfielder has been one of the best CDMs in the league. While scoring a goal as well as providing an assist this month. The player averaged a pass accuracy of 85% while making more than 2 tackles per game and making 2 interceptions during the game.
The Attacking Forwards
The first forward in the September Team of the Month is Mohamad Salah From Liverpool. In each of the three-game, the winger was able to score a goal. While currently being the top goal scorer in the league. He averaged a pass accuracy of 75% while providing a minimum of 1 key pass per 90.
The Second forward is Ivan Toney from Brentford. While the club currently is in the 7th position, the English Striker has been immense in front of goal. In September, he provided two assists while scoring two goals. He also averaged a minimum of two key passes.
The final Forward who is a part of this team is Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian Striker made his comeback to the Premier League this season and has been amazing. This month the player has already scored 2 goals. While being the focal point for most attacks the striker provided a minimum of one key pass.
