PSG have set their sight on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland as a replacement for Real Madrid bound Kylian Mbappe. Kylian Mbappe is out of contract next summer and looks set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The World Cup winner’s departure could lead to PSG targeting Erling Haaland. Erling Haaland is widely expected to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer as the Dortmund star will have a release clause in his contract next summer of €75 million.

A whole host of Europe’s heavyweights are said to be vying for the Norway superstar’s signature. Manchester United, PSG, Man CityChelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also believed to be interested in the striker.

However, Erling Haaland’s super-agent, Mino Raiola demands that Haaland earns €50 million per year and as well as an additional €40 million for himself in agent fees. Hence, PSG looks to be the clear favourites as they can afford to pay that sort of money.

Erling Haaland has again been in impressive form for BVB at the start of the 2021-22 campaign as has scored 11 times and contributing four assists in eight appearances in all competitions. He has 109 goals in senior career club football already and has 20 goals in the UCL so far.

Haaland has won two Austrian Bundesliga trophies and one Austrian Cup with Salzburg. At Dortmund and he has lifted the 2020-21 DFB-Pokal. Firstly, he finished as the top scorer in the Champions League 2020-21. Secondly, also won the 2020-21 UCL forward of the season. He also won Bundesliga Player of the Season in 2020-21 and the 2020 Golden Boy award.
