PSG In The Race For Scamacca To Strengthen Attack

Gianluca Scamacca reportedly received an offer from Arsenal this summer, but he is now scheduled to hold talks with PSG. The Italian international is the subject of interest from their new boss Christopher Galtier, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Earlier. It was reported that there was an £8.5 million difference between Arsenal’s and Sassuolo’s valuation. They were in need of a striker after Alexander Lacazette came to the end of his contract, and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang left for Barcelona. However, Eddie Nketiah signed a new contract, while Gabriel Jesus was signed from Manchester City.

As such, they do not need Scamacca anymore. However, the Italian is not short of offers. Now he is the subject of interest from PSG, who would like to see him be a part of one of the world’s most shiny attacks.

Do PSG Need Scamacca?

Maybe if Scamacca went to Paris, he wouldn’t get as much playing time as he would have at Arsenal. But the lure of Champions League football, higher wages and the chance to play with some of the best players in the world can be attractive as well.

The Italian team and PSG have not yet reached an agreement. But we all know that they have enough financial resources to get Scamacca over the line if they want to.

PSG will see the departures of many attacking players. Angel Di Maria has come to the end of his contract, and closing in on a move to Juventus. The departure of Mauro Icardi is expected as well. Moise Kean is another player who is in the ranks of the Parisians.

Scamacca can provide a much-needed option off the bench in this case. Moreover, PSG lack someone in the frontline who can efficiently press. Scammaca can be the man for this.

Overall, it can be a useful signing, but a little steep with Sassuolo’s asking price. However, as time has shown us, money is not usually a problem for PSG’s Qatari owners.
