Chelsea are informed they have found their replacement for veteran centre-back Thiago Silva.

The Blues have found their replacement for Thiago Silva in Wesley Fofana according to BBC pundit Danny Murphy. Fofana was praised for his distribution, ability on the ball, and aerial prowess. He also scored the winner for Chelsea against Leeds United. However, this was Chelsea’s first victory in the last seven matches and also eased pressure on Graham Potter.

It was a narrow 1:0 victory over Leeds and Potter had Fofana to thank for the victory. The Former Leicester man scored the header from a Ben Chilwell corner.

Also, The 22-year-old impressed everyone with his defensive abilities. Later, BBC pundit Danny Murphy praised the Frenchman and termed him as next Thiago Silva. He further claimed:-

“When you play for Chelsea, you need to be good on the ball, you need to be [able to play] forward passes with confidence,” he told Match of the Day when speaking about Fofana”.

“We see the progressive passing, somebody, similar to [Thiago] Silva, who’s got the confidence to play on the front foot and get Chelsea up the pitch, which they’ve lacked in recent weeks.

“His passing is excellent, he’s comfortable on the ball, and he’s a threat in both boxes.”

However, it was Frenchman’s second goal after joining Chelsea from Leicester City in the summer and he expressed his feelings after the match:-

“The feeling is incredible,”

“After my goal the stadium was crazy. Everybody was all together, and the goal was for the whole club.

“On Friday at the training ground, I worked on set pieces, the timing of my run, and then I scored”.
