Pundit claims Maddinson have replaced Kane’s aura at Tottenham

Pundit Leon Osman claims James Maddinson have taken over Harry Kane’s aura at Tottenham Hotspur in this current campaign.

Since joining the North-London club from Leicester City this summer, Maddinson is in top notch form. Under Ange Postecoglou, he is enjoying his new life at London.

Tottenham Hotspur have forgotten last season’s horror under Antonio Conte. Things got worse, as Harry Kane left the club to join German giants Bayern Munich this summer.

Spurs will be missing Kane’s goal scoring prowess in this current campaign, but there current form tells a different story. Tottenham are currently sitting at top of the Premier League table.

Speaking on the Premier League Productions, Pundit Leon Osman claims Maddinson has taken Kane’s aura in this campaign. The 26-year-old is playing huge part in Tottenham’s current form.

Osman praises Maddinson for showing his real calibre

While praising the midfielder, Osman said :-

“Great from Maddison (on assist v Luton), who has probably been the standout player for Spurs this season.

“But, for a big guy, to shuffle your feet in this way. And it’s a little hop he has as well as he is adjusting his body to go 180 to where he is trying to get the ball. That’s not easy.

“Yes, he’s not going to replace Harry Kane’s goals. But he can replace the aura that Harry Kane had about the player. And, at the moment, he is doing it brilliantly.”

Maddinson’s is currently enjoying his role under new manager Ange Postecoglou in this current campaign. His free roaming role at Spurs is allowing him to exploit the space in the final-third without much defensive responsibility.

Tottenham Hotspur have been enjoying their best start to their campaign in last 30 years. They are currently unbeaten in the Premier League as they playing like a fresh breath of air in this current campaign.
