Pundit Dion Dublin seriously impressed by two dangerous Liverpool players against Fulham

Liverpool

BBC pundit Dion Dublin was left amazed by two Liverpool players yesterday. Dublin was covering the game between Liverpool and Fulham. The Reds hosted Fulham in the first leg of semi final of Carabao Cup. However, the first half did not go as per the plans of the home team. Former Chelsea star Willian opened the scoring in the first 20 minutes by beating the defence. Although the host look dangerous at times, they were unable to beat the goal of Leno. In the second-half, Liverpool came back with aplomb and were completely changed. The Reds ran Fulham rampant creating chance after chance looking like they were going to close the one goal deficit.

Their hardwork paid off when Jones’ effort was deflected in the net. Within next few minutes, the substitute duo of Darwin and Cody Gakpo combined to give the lead to the host. Speaking on BBC, Dublin highlights the impact of substitutions made by Klopp. The changes defined the course of the game within no time. He said,

Wave after wave of Liverpool attack, they are looking very dangerous, particularly down that right hand side with Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez. Those two substitutes have made the difference for Liverpool.”

The Uruguayan changed the tempo of the game as soon he was brought on. He was very inspiring and got the assist for both the Liverpool goals. Moreover, Gakpo’s composed finish in the box was the last nail in the coffin for the travelling supporters. Nevertheless, Marco Silva still has a chance to take revenge as they will host Liverpool during the second leg at the end of this month.
