Pundit Tony Cascarino claims that Partey can provide a huge boost to his side in 2024

Pundit Tony Cascarino says Arsenal man Thomas Partey can provide a huge boost after his return in 2024. Cascarino now puts a positive perspective on Thomas Partey getting sidelined. He was speaking on talkSPORT saying it coould be a blessing in disguise. Furthermore, Arteta can have a fresh man for the second half of the season. However, the Ghana international has been injury-prone from a long time. Owing to this, the Gunners were looking to replace him in the upcoming summer window. Perhaps, the comments from Cascarino may now have a different perspective for the fans at The Emirates. Cascarino said,

Look, first and foremost on this, you could flip it on the other side and say he’ll be really fresh.

He won’t have much football played this year, and when he does come back, if he can avoid injury, if you look at last season’s Thomas Partey, 80 to 90% of the season he was sensational for Arsenal last year.

If he can avoid injury, Thomas Partey will be a great addition going into the second part of the season.”

Cascarino may change the perspective about Partey from his views

Many fans have been frustrated on Partey being injured for a substantial course of his Arsenal career. It is due to the fact that he is really good when on the field. Moreover, Partey is world-class when fully fit as Tony suggests. However, Mikel Arteta is unable to use him too often for the club. Though, Jorginho has been a fair replacement for him so far. Even Arteta hailed the former Chelsea man as ‘outstanding’ in the win against Burnley.

Arsenal were rumoured to have been contacting Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa and Martin Zubimendi of Sociedad. Arsenal still have some strong options on their bench including the likes of Jorginho and Declan Rice. Despite this, Arteta will surely be missing his £45m midfielder’s services.
