Raina on his comeback in IPL, look what the CSK all-rounder said

Delhi

Suresh Raina, a former all-rounder, has become a social media sensation for his response to a question regarding his possible comeback to international cricket. This happened during a press conference after a match against India Maharajas. A reporter asked Raina about his return to the sport.

Raina gave a savage response to the reporter

“Everyone wants you back in the IPL after your performance tonight in Legends League Cricket.”

Raina was amused by the question. He denied any chance of a comeback while referencing Shahid Afridi.

“Main Suresh Raina hoon. Main Shahid Afridi nahi hoon. Retirement le chuka hoon (I’m Suresh Raina, not Shahid Afridi. I’ve taken retirement),”

he said.

Former player Shahid Afridi has returned to the sport several times after retiring, which is the reason for the reference.

During the fourth match of the LLC Masters at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium. India Maharajas achieved an impressive 10-wicket victory. Thanks to the outstanding unbeaten 159 runs opening partnership of Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa.

The opening pair of the India Maharajas team dominated the Asia Lions attack. Uthappa scored an impressive 88 not out off just 39 balls, including 11 boundaries and five sixes, while Gambhir remained unconquered on 61 off 36 balls with 12 boundaries. The Asia Lions had elected to field first but they could only manage to score 157 in their 20 overs. The India Maharajas won the match comfortably with 45 balls to spare.

Although Upul Tharanga and Tillakaratne Dilshan had provided a strong opening partnership of 73 runs in just 8.4 overs for the Asia Lions, but it was not enough. Tharanga scored 69 off 48 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes, while Dilshan contributed 32 off 27 balls with four boundaries and a six.
