According to reports, Real Betis are hoping to sign Houssem Aouar in the January transfer window. The report also claims that the La Liga side tried to sign him in the last summer transfer window. However, they could not find an agreement with both Lyon and the player. There were also claims that Ligue 1 side were going to offer him a contract extension. However, it looks like this is not the season. At the moment, both Aouar nor Lyon have not made any effort to extend the stay.
