Real Madrid are interested in Havertz who will cost them £80m

Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea’s Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window. The German attacker will cost them around £80m.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti will be keen on adding more depth and quality to his attack. He has identified Havertz as a potential target for next season.

The 23-year-old attacker is going through a mixed season at Chelsea this term. He has scored nine goals across all competitions this season. Recently he helped his team to qualify for the Champions League Quarter Finals. Havertz didn’t live up to his reputation, since joining Chelsea in 2020.

According to Fichajes reports, Real Madrid have to pay around £80m to sign the player at the end of the season. But it remains to be seen that whether the Spanish Giants are prepared to part with that kind of money for Havertz.

Havertz was regarded as one of the top talents in Europe before joining Chelsea. He has all the attributes to develop into a world-class player. However, a move to Real Madrid could be ideal for him at this stage of his career. The German International has all the qualities to become successful in Spain in future.

Arsenal legend compared Havertz to Premier League icon Robin Van Persie. He said:-

“He reminds me sometimes, a little, of Robin back to goal the way he can hold the ball.”

Havertz is capable of playing as a false-9 as well as an attacking midfielder. His versatility will be quite a handful for Real Madrid in future.

Apparently, Chelsea will look to keep Havertz and manager Graham Potter want him at Stanford Bridge in the future also. But it will be interesting to see if a lucrative offer comes in the summer of the German attacker.
