According to several reports, Real Marid have joined the high voltage race for signing RB Leipzig youngster Dani Olmo. Los Blancos have been looking to set up a young midfield line-up next season, as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are in their 30s.

And doing the same they have already added Eduardo Camavinga this season after paying 30 million for Rennes. But they still need some more midfield options, following which they target Dani Olmo.

The youngster starting his career with Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy made his move to GNK Dinamo Zagreb in 2014. Playing in the B side of the Croatian club, Olmo rose up to the first team in 2015. And making his first-team debut he played 124 times, scoring 34 goals and 28 assists in his five-year stay.

In 2020, Olmo chose to have a new challenge as he signed for RB Leipzig in the winter transfer window. The Bundesliga side paid cash of about 25 million to secure the services of Dani Olmo. Since his debut for the German side, he has racked up 63 appearances, scoring 12 goals and 14 assists. And now following his exceptional talent the youngster has emerged as a hot target for top European clubs.

The latest to join the race for signing Dani Olmo is Real Madrid who will be rivaling the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United. Madrid has top midfield stars and there is no doubt in it, but it includes aged players like Modric and Kroos. And to replace them, Madrid have been on a mission to sign young players in order to secure the future. Following which Real Madrid considers Dani Olmo a viable option next season.

Real Madrid needs to beat Barcelona and Manchester United to sign Dani Olmo next summer

Same as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United are also in the race for Dani Olmo to strengthen their midfield next season. The Catalans were also close to signing their former academy player this summer. However, the deal failed as RB Leipzig didn’t want to let go of their midfield star.

Barcelona have not given up despite a failed deal as they seem determined to get back for the midfielder next summer. While, beside the Catalans, Manchester United have also been interested in Dani Olmo. The red devils were rumored to sign a new midfielder this summer, but that didn’t go as per their plans. However, they are keeping tabs on Olmo this time in order to secure his services next season.
