Reports in Spain claim Real Madrid are considering a shock January move for Youri Tielemans. Leicester are demanding upwards of £50m for the Belgian midfielder.
Real Madrid could move for Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans next summer’s transfer window. And view him as a potential replacement for their midfielder Casemiro. Casemiro signed a new contract with Madrid this year. And is a transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Youri Tielemans has not yet committed his long-term future to Leicester City.Tielemans is only under contract with the Foxes until the end of the 2022-23 season And Leicester may consider selling their FA Cup final hero at the end of this season if they cannot strike a new deal.
Tieleman’s versatility in midfield is said to be a big draw for Madrid . So Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti identifying Tielemans as a leading midfield target. Should Tielemans seal a switch to the Bernabeu he would become the third Belgian to arrive at the club. Ancelotti’s squad includes former Chelsea stars Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.
Spanish giants Barcelona are also circling for Youri Tielemans. The 24-year-old Belgium international publicly said he is “keeping his options open” as he negotiates a new Leicester deal. Also linked linked with Liverpool, should he become available next off-season.
Tielemans, who joined Leicester from Monaco for a fee of around £40, has made 118 appearances for the club since his July 2019 arrival. In addition the Belgian has again been an important player for Brendan Rodgers’s side at the start of the new season making 10 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and two assists in the process.
Real Madrid are also allegedly keen to bring both Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland to the club in 2022.
