Dietrich Mateschitz

Red Bull Racing is officially the 2022 Formula 1 Constructor Champions here in Austin after winning the US GP.

Coming into Austin, Red bull needed to be just 18 points clear of Ferrari entering the next race to secure the 2022 World Constructors Championship. The team did that and did it in style.

The opening lap collision ended in an early race retirement for Carlos Sainz helping Red bull furthermore.

The duo of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez has dominated the entire season earning the well-deserved title. Red Bull racing also came back on the top after 8 years – winning the constructors crown last time in 2013.

Either Verstappen or Perez have been on the podium in every single race this year except one.

The team secured the constructors championship with Verstappen bagging his 13th win at COTA. Sergio Perez came home in P4 cementing the title in Austin itself.

This marks fifth time for Red Bull becoming the constructors’ champions – their first after 2013.

This also marked the end of the dominance of Mercedes who won the last eight constructors’ championships in a row!

“It means even more (than previous ones) because we’ve had the tough years. We’ve had to keep picking ourselves up, dusting ourselves, coming back and coming back,”

Horner told Sky Sports F1.

And we’ve done that. So the hard work and the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into this, this one just means the world to us.”

Red Bull is looking strong and has adapted to these new regulations well. We might be entering into another red bull dominance era like 2010 – 2013.
For now, Red Bull can surely enjoy and celebrate their latest achievement.
