Liverpool pursuit of Brighton’s top talents extends beyond Alexis Mac Allister. As they have reportedly expressed interest in another standout player from the same team. However, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are also said to be vying for his signature.

After acknowledging their unsuccessful attempts to secure Jude Bellingham’s signing last month. Liverpool has redirected their focus towards Alexis Mac Allister. Recent reports have indicated that Liverpool has reportedly come to a verbal agreement with Mac Allister regarding personal terms.

Before proceeding with the transfer, Liverpool needs to negotiate and reach an agreement with Brighton regarding the transfer fee for Mac Allister.

According to reports, Liverpool has the opportunity to secure the signing of Mac Allister at a reduced price. By including backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in the deal. While Brighton values the Argentine midfielder at a range of £60-70 million, they would accept a lower fee of £40 million if Kelleher is included as part of the agreement.

In addition to their pursuit of Mac Allister, Liverpool has reportedly expressed a strong interest in acquiring fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo.

During the January transfer window, the 21-year-old midfielder made attempts to depart from Brighton. This is following offers from Arsenal and Chelsea. His desire to move was evident as he even submitted a formal transfer request.

Why Are Liverpool behind Caicedo so desperately?

Liverpool holds a significant admiration for Caicedo .However, numerous other teams are also vying for the opportunity to secure the services of the Ecuadorian. Making the competition for his signature intense.

Caicedo’s talents have garnered confirmed interest from Manchester United. This indicates their pursuit of the midfielder. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea, have been closely monitoring the situation surrounding Caicedo.

Manchester City has also identified Caicedo as a potential alternative to Jude Bellingham. In case the Borussia Dortmund star decides to join Real Madrid. The club has shown interest in Caicedo as a contingency plan for their midfield reinforcement.

Liverpool withdrew from the race to sign Bellingham primarily because of his hefty price tag.Which was reported to be in the range of £115-135 million. The club was reluctant to allocate such a significant portion of their budget to a single player. As it would limit their ability to strengthen other positions in the team, notably the center-back position.

It is undeniable that Caicedo’s impressive performances for Brighton have positioned him for a move to a top-tier Champions League club in the upcoming seasons. His sensational displays on the pitch warrant a transfer to such a prestigious club.
