After chaotic experience last week, Liverpool re strategies their plans as Reds finally chasing Sporting’s centre-back Gonçalo Inácio in this summer tranfer window.
Reds have suffered couple of transfer failures in last few weeks as both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia joined rival club Chelsea. However, Klopp and co changed their plans as they’re now focusing on buying a new defender in this transfer window.
According to reports, Liverpool are willing pay £42.9 million for Sporting CP centre-back Gonçalo Inácio. With midfield still remains area of concern but Reds are now focusing on improving their defensive options this summer.
Both Joel Matip and Joe Gomez are not at there very best for last few seasons at Anfield and French international Ibrahima Konate has been very injury-prone. Hence manager Jurgen Klopp wants to sign a new centre-back to add more quality to their backline.
Meanwhile, Portuguese outlet Diario de Noticias, Liverpool are looking to sign Inácio despite the fact that the 21-year-old might sign new contract with the Portuguese outfit. His release clause will increase from £38.5m to £42.9m once he signs the new contract.
Other big clubs such as Manchester United, PSG and Newcastle United FC are showing interest in him. Inácio has been one of the promising young defender in European football lately.
A left-footed centre-back, Inácio looks like the right man for the job at Anfield this season. His stats speaks for himself(Sofascore) :-

Inacio came through Sporting’s academy ranks and made his senior team debut in March under manager Roberto Martinez. The Portuguese has all the attributes to become good centre-back and dominate the footballing world in next few seasons.
