Liverpool are in a urgent need of a new CB partner for Virgil van Dijk next season. Hence we have shortlist Five left-footed centre-backs Reds should sign target this summer.
Joel Matip and Joe Gomez’s questionable form in last 12 months currently leaves manager Jurgen Klopp heavily dependent on Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate staying fit for much of the season. Liverpool clearly needs left-footed centre-back this summer, given their interest in Chelsea’s Levi Colwell also.
However, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that he’s confident that Colwell will continue with the Blues.
So, here are the Five left-footed centre-backs we think can form formidable partnership with Van Dijk next season in Reds Jersey :-
1.Nico Schlotterbeck (23) (Borrusia Dortmund)
Schlotterbeck is a German professional footballer who plays for Borrusia Dortmund as a centre-back. Last summer he joined the club from SC Freiburg.
Meanwhile Dortmund came close to winning the Bundesliga last term, as they bottled it at very last moment.

2. Dávid Hancko (25) (Feyenoord)

He was a monumental figure for his club as they won Eredivisie title last campaign. Newcastle United have already monitored him last month as manager Eddie Howe keen to add depth to his squad.

3. Kevin Danso (24) (RC Lens)
Kevin Danso is a Austrian Professional footballer who plays for French outfit RC Lens as a centre-back. He helped his side to finish 2nd in the Ligue 1 table last season.
As per reports, Napoli have striked a verbal agreement with Danso this summer. However, reports also suggests that Italian club’s opening offer fell short of Len’s valuation.

4. Strahinja Pavlovic (22) (RB Salzburg)
Strahinja Pavlovic is a Serbian Professional Footballer who plays for Austrian club RB Salzburg. Although, at a towering 1.94 metres, he is commanding cente-back who is strong in the air and capable of dominating his opponents also.
It would also make sense for Liverpool to go for Pavlovic this summer. Salzburg plays a similar system in terms of having a high-defensive line to Klopp.

5. Gonçalo Inácio (21) (Sporting CP)
Gonçalo Inácio is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a central-defender for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP. At this young age, he has made 122 apperances for his current club so far.
However, top Premier League clubs are taking interest in him, as per Correio da Manha via Sport Witness. Journalist Jacques Talbot is a huge fan of the player and told GIVEMESPORTS :-
“100%. Inacio is one they liked in January and he’d be a perfect addition for PL clubs.
“I don’t think that his release clause is that high. He would be looking for a move over to the Premier League. Inácio is quite young and a ball-playing centre-back. He is also relatively cheap as well.”
