Reece James rise has been meteoric since making it into the first team at Chelsea in 2019. He has been commendable as a side-back at Stanford Bridge.

At this moment, Chelsea are struggling and currently stands in 10th position in the Premier League table. Despite spending over £550 million in the last two transfer windows, the Blues are out of the European spot for next season.

Chelsea produces a vast amount of talent in their Cobham Academy. But only a few earn their stripes on The Blues senior team and Reece James is among the spectacular ones. The 23-year-old has been monstrous since his emergence from the academy. However, injuries have plagued his career, and have consequently missed out on 17 matches this season.

But his comeback has been solid this season as Chelsea have recently both the last fixtures against Leeds United and Borrusia Dortmund in the Premier League and Champions League respectively. The Telegraph suggests that the Chelsea hierarchy are preparing James for the Captaincy role in the future. His breakthrough prominence has been regarded as an unmitigated and unequivocal success.

The Full-back has made 140 appearances for Chelsea at this young age and has scored 11 goals and provided 20 assists so far in his career. His teammate Trevor Chalobah has termed him as an “unbelievable” gem.

Potter must praise the footballing overload Reece James has taken at this young age. James weaved through the youth ranks and it is imperative he is to Chelsea’s success. He remains one of the top talents in Europe and will be quite lucrative if The Blues sell him in the future. But the chance looks trim, to say at least.
