Tammy Abraham to be scouted by Arsenal during Leicester vs Roma

Former Chelsea player Tammy Abraham currently plying his trade in Serie A for AS Roma will be scouted by Arsenal, according to a report from Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb.

The Englishman will return to his country for a conference league clash against Brendan Rodgers side Leicester City. The winner on the aggregate score will earn themselves a place in this newly formed European competition’s final.

Since joining the Giallorossi, Tammy Abraham has been absolutely brilliant. He bagged a total of 24 goals in all competitions this season. 8 of them were in the UEFA Conference League only and is the leading goal scorer along with Feyenoord’s Cyriel Dessers.

According to reports, Arsenal may put in a bid of £50m to bring Tammy back to London. Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar are currently assessing options for a new No.9 they can bring at the Emirates. And the ex-Chelsea man seems to fit the profile they are looking for.

Arsenal’s first team consists of only 2 natural No.9, namely Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah. Both will be out of contracts this upcoming summer. Meanwhile, Tammy is just in his first season in Italy but will prefer a move back to his hometown London. He will be back on Thursday at King Power Stadium and the Gunners’ scouts will definitely get their chance to watch the 24-year-old more closely.

Tammy’s current form

Since his arrival in the Italian capital, this is Tammy’s worst form. He could score only once in the last six games. He has been phenomenal for ‘The Special One’ Jose Mourinho‘s side throughout the season and will look to impress with his name on the scoresheet against Leicester.

A bright outing against a Premier League opponent will make his foothold to a transfer move to England stronger. Surely, there’s not any surety that an offer will be on the table based on his performance versus Leicester.
