Reports about sacking Potter as Boehly admits mistake

Pochettino

Reports about Potter getting sacked if results against Leeds United and Borrusia Dortmund don’t go in his favor have been clarified as Todd Boehly makes a crucial mistake in January.

Potter’s short spell at Chelsea has been a disastrous one. Chelsea have been knocked out of both the domestic cups. The team is also currently struggling in Premier League as they are sitting in 10th position and have a one-goal deficit in the Champions League Round of 16.

Chelsea have struggled to find the back of the net from the start of the campaign. Even former manager Thomas Tuchel faced an issue with goalscoring and struggled to find a proper goal scorer for the Blues. They have a timid winning percentage of just 34.6 this season.

However, fresh reports from the Guardian suggest Potter’s job is not in any immediate danger.

Guardian stressed the fact that Chelsea are determined to give more time to Potter. Reports also suggest that Chelsea will not make decisions based on the results of the next two games. Potter is under a lot of scrutinies due to his poor performance and sometimes getting a poisonous reaction from some of the club supporters. New owners are willing to give more time to the new manager in the hope to get long-term gain.

BOEHLY AWARE OF HIS CRUCIAL MISTAKE MADE POTTER’S LIFE

Despite the show of faith, Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly made a crucial mistake and Potter’s job more difficult.

Chelsea spent heavily in the January transfer window, bringing in eight players out of which six have made it into Potter’s lineup. Yet making such crucial addition to the squad, the Blues have struggled to make an impact.

Due to this, Chelsea’s super-sized squad in negativity impacted Potter’s training session. The Guardian mentioned the point that Todd Boehly and his co-owners are aware of the fact that they’ve created an issue through their luxurious January spend.

However, Potter’s job is now safe, as the club is willing to give him one full season before coming to a conclusion about his future. The Former Brighton manager needs to be calm to deal with a such tricky situation.
