Pundit Robbie Mustoe claims that 52-year old manager will be suitable to takeover Manchester United from Erik Ten Hag. Mustoe was pointing towards Aston Villa manager Unai Emery to be a potential replacement for Ten Hag. Mustoe was speaking on The 2 Robbies after United’s 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at Old Trafford last weekend. Though, it is not the first incidence when the Red Devils have been beaten at their soil this season. However, Ten Hag is not the sole reason for United’s disgrace in this campaign. The injuries of key players like Casemiro, Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Munt and others is also a huge factor for their fall down.
Aston Villa are one of the sides rising to the glory this season. The major reason for there success is their boss Unai Emery. The former Dortmund manager took over the club last season from Steven Gerrard. He took the side from a relegation battling side to a title contender this season. Owing to all this, Mustoe believes that Emery can be the perfect replacement.

And I’m only chucking it out there as a bit of fun, right. Villa fans, don’t get too crazy about it. But just listen to this, in terms of his experience, his ability to win competitions, domestically and internationally, he’s been around the Premier League a bit now, he’s been at a big club in the Premier League in Arsenal, didn’t work very well. He’s showing himself now what a superb coach he is. I think his attention to detail, his work ethic is perfect for Manchester United.”
Emery has everything to replace Erik Ten Hag
Unai Emery has shown everything required to be a top-class manager. His side defeated Man City and Arsenal and also kept a clean sheet against the two. However, it seems unreal for him to leave Villa that too at the peak of his form. Moreover, the fans also love him and want him to lead the side to European campaigns. Although, United are one of the most decorated clubs on the planet, it does not seem that Emery will take a gamble at this stage.
