Regular India captain, Rohit Sharma has finally tested negative for Covid-19.

In the latest rounds of tests conducted, Rohit was found to be negative after which he was allowed to come out of quarantine.

Previously, in the three rounds of the RAT test, Rohit tested positive all three times which led to his sitting out of the 5th rescheduled Test.

Jasprit Bumrah is leading the side in Rohit’s absence.

With Rohit now being negative, it now makes his path clear to participate in all six white-ball games against England.

Rohit did not take part in the warm-up match against Northamptonshire as the BCCI wanted to give him time to rest and practice as well.

The T20I series will start off on the 7th of July and is a 3-match series.

Apart from Rohit, the likes of Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant will also be playing the T20I series.

But they will join the team only ahead of the 2nd T20I as the BCCI has sent two teams to England.

This will give the red-ball players some rest before they join the limited-overs squad.
