Rohit Sharma says every player will be important during the ODI World Cup. The World Cup 2023 commences on October 5th.

The ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 is in within a month. The Indian team is constantly under watchfulness, being the host of such a prestigious tournament. Recently, at a press conference, the one who will lead from the front, Rohit Sharma, put forward his views on the upcoming contest and Indian team preparations. Rohit Sharma expressed he cannot unnecessarily pressure one or two players with any expectations.
Rohit Sharma stated
“That said, I don’t want to add unnecessary pressure with any expectations by talking about one or two players. Every player will be important during the World Cup. Yes, there will be a little more expectations from certain players but we don’t want to add pressure on Bumrah. As such, playing for India and pressure go hand-in-hand”
Talking about India’s ace pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma added that he is an essential player for the team. He further said that Jasprit Bumrah’s return is good news after a long hold because of his injury. In addition, he also mentioned Prasidh Krishna’s involvement in the team. He also praised Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna’s performance in the recent India tour of the Ireland series.
In an interview with Vimal Kumar on YouTube, he stated
“Jasprit Bumrah came back after a really long time and it was good to see him back because he is an important player in our team. Both Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna played really well in the Ireland series. So, these are good signs going forward for us. Both of them worked hard in the past one and half years at the NCA”
India to face Australia in their first encounter of the World Cup.
