Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano shares update on the Declan Rice transfer saga as both Arsenal and Manchester City battle it out for the West Ham star.
Rice is one of the best midfielder in the world right now. Arsenal has been linked with the midfielder for a long time now, but Manchester City have now entered the race to sign him.
Speaking on his YouTube Channel, Romano claimed that Mikel Arteta will play key role in this deal. The Spaniard is trying his best to complete the transfer as soon as possible
Due to monetary supremacy, Manchester City has a upper hand in this deal. Guardiola is in a urgent need of a new midfielder after left Ikay Gündoğan left club.
City has recently won the treble and are among the wealthiest clubs in the world. They can easily blow other teams by offering a huge salaries, plus, Guardiola’s presence plays a huge role in their transfer pursuits.
Arsenal knows that fact that it will be huge efforts to beat Manchester City to sign Declan Rice this summer. Romano claimed that Arteta is a key factor to get this deal done. He said:-
“One crucial point on this story – Mikel Arteta. Arteta is pushing at the best level to sign Declan Rice. Arteta is trying in every single way.
“Of course, it doesn’t depend on him, it depends on the owners and how much they want to spend on the deal, but Mikel Arteta is trying his best. He’s really pushing for Declan Rice to join Arsenal.
“If Declan Rice will be an Arsenal player, trust me, Arteta will have been a crucial factor.”
