Romelu Lukaku scored a brace in his second debut at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea beat Aston Villa with a 3-0 scoreline. The Belgian made a return back to Chelsea after almost 7 years as the Blues paid more than 100 million for his services. The hefty amount is justified as he was the main man at the upfront for Inter Milan’s Serie A success last season.

Making his return to Chelsea this summer, Lukaku featured in his debut match against Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium. And the Belgian made the headline by opening the scoring in the 15th minute. Playing his second match against Liverpool at Anfield, Lukaku lacked the special spark and failed to score in the game.

But all the eyes were again on Romelu Lukaku as he was set to play in his first home game at Stamford Bridge after his return. And playing against Aston Villa, all the Chelsea fans hope to see the big Belgian on the scoresheet. And Lukaku didn’t disappoint as he scored a brace upon his return to Stamford Bridge.

Starting of the game Chelsea were seen as more aggressive with counter-attacks. And that paid the Blues as they opened the scoring in the 15th minute. And the scorer was none other than Romelu Lukaku, who made the Stamford Bridge go crazy. Mateo Kovacic made a brilliant through ball landing at Lukaku’s feet and the Belgian cutting inside scored a sensational goal.

Starting of the second half, Chelsea was again seen with more possession. And the Blues got their second goal from Kovacic in the 49th minute. The game was with a scoreline of 2-0 until the last minutes of the full time. But Lukaku scored his second goal making it 3-0 after hitting a banger in the left top corner.

The game ended with a scoreline of 3-0 with Chelsea fans and Lukaku having a broad smile on their face. Now the big Belgian will be focusing on his next challenge as the Champions League night returns this week. With Chelsea facing Zenit in their group stage opener.

Chelsea the current Champions League winners are placed in group H this season, besides Juventus, Malmo, and Zenit. And with the Champions League returning this week, Chelsea will be facing Zenit on Wednesday in their group stage opener.

The Blues and their new signing Romelu Lukaku will be looking forward to a great start in the group stage by beating the Russian giants. While the Belgian is in good form scoring three goals in his last three matches. And Chelsea also having high confidence after sitting second in the Premier League table this week. So, hoping to see the Blues and the big Belgian in a good for their Champions League opener.
