Ruben Neves exit confirmed amid claims Arsenal want to sign him

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves confirmed as he said goodbye to the fans after the match against Everton on Saturday.

According to The Athletic, Neves did certain gesture, which meant he might have played his last match at Molineux for Wolves. The Portuguese have already expressed his desire to play in Champions League in future.

Manager Julen Lopetegui did a great with Wolves this season as they were bottom of the Premier League at Christmas. He tactical brilliance have secured them a top-flight status.

Ruben Neves has been crucial for Wolves this season. Ever since joining from FC Porto, he has been one of the club’s most important players.

Neves helped to Wolves to get promotion to top-flight in 2018. But his time at Molineux may now be coming to an end after six amazing years.

However, Arsenal are now interested to sign Neves after he waved to the fans at the weekend. The Gunners will look to bring a central midfielder in the summer and the Portuguese looks like the perfect man for the job.

The report from The Athletic states that:-

“When Ruben Neves disappeared down the tunnel with a wave of his right hand towards supporters in the Billy Wright Stand at the end of a rousing lap of adulation, it seemed like a fitting departure for a modern-day Wolverhampton Wanderers legend.”

Neves is valued at £35m and he prowess at the middle of the park is known to everyone. Arsenal could consider this move in the summer after his exit confirmed this weekend.
