S SREESANTH SAYS LUCKY PAKISTAN

Veteran Indian pacer S Sreesanth denies praise of Pakistan’s ace pacer Shaheen Afridi for dismissing Virat Kohli. In the encounter between India and Pakistan on September 2nd in Kandy, Virat Kohli was one of the hunts of Shaheen Afridi. Virat Kohli got out in the form of getting bowled by Shaheen. Virat Kohli was at four runs before he played a shot with an angled bat, and then the ball went straight to the stumps. Shaheen Afridi was on a roll because first it was the captain Rohit Sharma and then the ex-captain Virat Kohli who got out by him.

However, the well-known ex-pacer S Sreesanth called Pakistan lucky enough for Virat Kohli’s wicket. He further stated that he doesn’t count it as a wicket. In addition, he also said that he is eagerly waiting for the next match between India and Pakistan.

S Sreesanth was quoted by Cricket Pakistan saying

“It was unfortunate for India. Pakistan were lucky to get Virat Kohli’s wicket because it was an inside edge. I don’t count it as a wicket, I know him personally, which is why I know what would have been going through his mind after seeing Pakistan’s celebration. I am just waiting for the next India-Pakistan match”

While Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first, it seemed he took the wrong decision. India’s top order tumbled in front of Pakistan’s bowling attack. India were 66/4 in 14.1 overs. After the dismissal of the top order, India picked up their innings as Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya put their best foot forward.
