While the intensity of the injury is yet to be authenticate, the goalkeeper will miss tomorrow’s Finalissima against Brazil at Wembley. Stars such as Lauren Hemp, Ellie Roebuck, Esme Morgan, Alex Greenwood, Chloe Kelly, Jess Park and Hayley Raso (Australia) likely to play for their National squad.

With MacIver’s injury, her club teammate Ellie Roebuck, Manchester United’s Mary Earps and Villa’s Hannah Hampton are other goalkeeping options for Wiegman’s squad for the upcoming fixtures. The City GK will hope to make her return soon for the national squad.

MacIver will look to solidify his place as one of the three goalkeepers in the national squad ahead of the World Cup in June. Their is cut-throat competition around the Goalkeeping position in England Women’s squad.

MacIver made her debut against Northern Ireland in February 2021. After that she has been a regular in the England Setup.

The Lionesses clash against Brazil in inaugural women’s Finalissima at Wembley. They will hope to win it before the 2023 FIFA World Cup , which will be hosted by Australia.
