Selling Bruno Fernandes a good option for Manchester United?

Manchester United had yet another disappointing season finishing sixth on the table. They also crashed out of Champions League and Carabao Cup. The only positive is they will play in the FA cup final. Now that the club is under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS group changes are inevitable. One such big change that is being speculated is Selling Bruno Fernandes. That is the view of former Aston Villa and Liverpool attacker Stan Collymore. He believes the Red Devils should look to part ways with the Portugal international, despite him being arguably their best player this season.

Despite Fernandes having a solid season scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. it doesn’t bear thinking where United would be this season without their captain. However, despite the 29-year-old’s impact and influence, Collymore thinks the Red Devils should offload their star midfielder. The main reason of his criticism is his attitude and on field antics. “Very good player? Yes! — Captain material? Absolutely not,” he said in an exclusive interview.

Is Selling Bruno Fernandes really the solution?

Collymore also said “The fact that he hinted earlier this week that he could be up for a move away tells me that he doesn’t have the stomach for the fight. He also doesn’t believe in the future project and wants a bit of the easy life. For me, along with Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire and Antony he’ll be a poster boy for the era at United where promise was abundant but excuses and not delivering were the reality. Sell and move on!”

Fernandes who is still a key player for Manchester United is still reported to stay. With talks of new manager and new management he can really improve his game. Fernandes, who has up to three years left on his contract will give challenge to United for a replacement.
