Shakib Al Hasan becomes No.1 T20I all-rounder

Shakib Al Hasan is an all-rounder from Bangladesh. He is also the captain of the Bangladesh Cricket team. Recently there has been an update in the ICC t20i ranking list. Bangladesh recently played a tri-series in New Zealand. The other 2 teams were Pakistan and New Zealand.

Bangladesh did not win any match in that tri-series. But the positive from this series for Bangladesh is Shakib Al Hasan. He was in red-hot form and scored 154 runs in the series. He even bowled economically. For his outstanding performance, he moved to the top of the all-rounder ranking list. He surpassed Mohammad Nabi from Afghanistan.

Apart from Shakib, there were many changes. Namibia’s JJ Smit and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza made themselves to the top 5 and top 10 all-rounder ranking respectively. New Zealand batter Glenn Phillips also made it to the top 10 in the batting ranking list. In the bowling list, Mujeeb Ub Rehman moved up to 2nd ranking and Keshav Maharaj moved up to 8th ranking in the ICC ranking list. Pakistan’s opening duo maintained their position in the batting list and Suryakumar Yadav is placed in 3rd position.

He played 105 t20i matches. In batting, he averages 23 and plays with a strike rate of 122. In bowling, he averages 20 and bowls with an economy of 6.75.
