Siraj gets praise from Hazelwood on his bowling during IPL

RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Mohammed Siraj has received praise from his fellow teammate, Josh Hazelwood.

As the IPL 2023 has concluded, Siraj was in top form during the season and came out as his franchise’s highest wicket-taker.

Moreover, Siraj will also be in action against Australia in the WTC Final where he will once again meet Hazelwood.

Previously, India faced a rude defeat from New Zealand and will now be wanting to get the Test mace in their hands this time.

For Australia however, this is going to be their first-ever WTC Final and they will be playing with the same goals in mind.

Meanwhile, Siraj was brilliant for RCB this season as he changed a few things about his bowling. He showed more accuracy and control over his line and length as well.

While Hazelwood was recovering during the first half of the IPL, Siraj was breathing fire in each and every game.

That’s why Hazelwood has praised Siraj for his bowling. Says Hazelwood on Siraj,

I was a bit late getting there (to RCB this year), but before then he was on fire. His control was great and he is bowling well.

Adding further, he said,

He is up there at the top of the wickets every time, and the economy rate was probably the thing as bowling at Chinnaswamy (RCB’s home ground) is impossible sometimes and he was going at six or six-and-a-half an over.

Siraj’s campaign with RCB was quite a successful one this year as he picked up 19 wickets from 14 games and had an economy rate of 7.50.

On the other hand, in Test cricket, Siraj has 47 wickets from 33 innings and an economy rate of 3.29 and he will play a big role in the side in Bumrah’s absence.
