Here we have with us the Spurs player ratings as they win against Brighton in the 4th round of the FA Cup. Tottenham were able to overcome Brighton despite a few scares in the match. Antonio Conte has turned things around at Tottenham Hotspur and the results are showing for the North London club.

Tottenham took the lead in the 13th minute as Brighton lose the ball near the box that lets Kane finish in the right top corner from outside the box. Spurs doubled their lead with a great run from Emerson whose attempt to cross ends in goal with a deflection from Solly March leading to an own goal.

Brighton turned on their game in the second half and pulled one back in the 63rd minute. Bissouma cuts inside to just outside the box and his shot got deflected by Hojbjerg and ended up in goal. However, Tottenham were quick to respond as Son collected the ball in midfield and made his way into the box while the defender’s touch only rolls the ball towards Kane to finish from a yard.

Tottenham had 7 shots on target while Brighton had 5 shots on target. Brighton also played but were not as clinical as Spurs. Therefore, Spurs came out on top and look forward to put a run in the FA Cup. Spurs have improved a lot under Conte and have a chance at winning the FA Cup in only his first season.

Spurs player ratings vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Hugo Lloris – 7/10

He made several crucial saves to keep Tottenham in the game but was unfortunate to concede with a deflected shot.

Davinson Sanchez – 7/10

Very solid at the back and did not make any mistakes in his natural role.

Cristian Romero – 8/10

A good return from injury and made some strong tackles to keep Brighton at bay. Justified why Conte wants to build a defense around the Argentinian.

Ben Davies – 7/10

Had a normal game and most importantly did not make any mistakes and also supported the attack.

Emerson Royal – 7/10

Burst into pace for the empty space ahead of him which lead to their 2nd goal.

Harry Winks – 6/10

Was busy handling Bissouma in most of the game but got forward on a few occasions.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 7/10

Assisted Kane in scoring the first goal and handled the midfield well. However, looked tired in the second half of the game.

Sergio Reguilon – 6/10

He also handled the left-flank well and got in good positions to attack. However, like Emerson, he also failed to make good decisions.

Lucas Moura – 5/10

He struggled to keep the ball at his feet and continued with it in the second half. He was substituted 20 minutes before full time.

Harry Kane – 9/10

Kane seems to have found his life again at Tottenham as he is the man in form. A brilliant outside-the-box finish to open the scoring and good awareness to score his second of the match.

Son Heung-Min – 7/10

Provided good energy with his return to the team. Made one of his trademark runs into the box that lead to the third goal.

Good debut from the Swedish and did not do anything flashy and created some good chances.

Had a good chance to score the fourth goal for Spurs but somehow he fluffed it.

Joe Rodon – 6/10

He was disciplined in the cameo and did what was needed.

Looked very composed in the midfield and was neat and tidy, showed some good skills.
