Spurs to make a move for Premiere League star in January

Tottenham Hotspur now sits at fourth place on the League table after their 2-1 defeat against Liverpool this weekend. Newcastle has overtaken Spurs on third place after beating Southampton 4-1.

Spurs could have gone to third place had they won against The Reds. However, they are now behind Newcastle who are at third place. Conte’s side has lost three of their last four games played having won only one game. Spurs boss now might be considering for a signing in the upcoming transfer window.

According to The Sun, Spurs are interested to sign Everton star Anthony Gordon in January. The report also claims that the initial talks between both parties have already been started. Both Chelsea and Tottenham were interested in Englishman but Chelsea’s offer got rejected during the summer. Now Spurs have eyes on Anthony for the January transfer window.

Spurs ready to make an offer for £60m star

Chelsea reportedly made an offer of £40million for the Gordan during the summer but it eventually got rejected. Tottenham will have to make an offer more than that to lure the player from Goodison Park. According to reports the price for the Englishman are rated £60milliom.

The 21-years old has scored three goals in 13 league matches so far this season. Gordan’s current contract runs till 2025 but Everton wants to extend it amid interest from other clubs.

Despite interest from other clubs, Gordan insists that he is not in a rush to leave. Speaking in September amid interest from Chelsea, he said:

“I wasn’t too focused on that as I can only control what I can control.

“But I was never desperate to leave Everton.”
