Virat will break Sachin’s ODI record by India-Australia series, claims former cricketer Suresh Raina. Virat Kohli has hit 47 centuries in the ODI, while the legend Sachin Tendulkar has 49 in total.

Former cricketer of India, Suresh Raina, expressed expectation for Virat Kohli to be at the top for scoring the most numbers of centuries in ODI. He added that Virat Kohli is in great form and is batting exceptionally. Raina further expressed that Virat Kohli can achieve the supremacy of a fiftieth century by the India-Australia series in September end. Suresh Raina praised the 34-year-old star batsman of India and said he can break the record of the great Sachin Tendulkar.

On Jio Cinema’s Insiders Live, Suresh Raina stated

“Virat Kohli looks in great touch and has been batting exceptionally. Sachin (Tendulkar) paaji has 49 and Virat has 47. I think he can get his fiftieth hundred by the India-Australia series, batting at No. 3, there are a lot of overs as well and we know he loves to play against Australia”

He further added

“So, I would say yes, he can break Tendulkar’s record. He’s been really enjoying his batting and seems to be in a really good headspace after the birth of his daughter and a partner who constantly supports him. Also, the way he’s been monitoring his cricket and fitness as always. I am sure Virat is only thinking about defeating Australia 3-0 and not about paaji’s record”

Suresh Raina further said that Virat Kohli has been giving good advice to youngsters like KL Rahul. Raina, said that the legend Sachin Tendulkar will be happy to see Virat achieve great things. Lastly, he said that it is amazing how Virat achieved the mark of score 13000 runs in the current era.
