Charles Watts thinks that Takehiro Tomiyasu injury looks bad. It might take some before the player is back on pitch again. Therefore it remains unclear as to when Takehiro Tomiyasu will return back on the pitch. Arsenal are obviously going to do their final checks before they make an official announcement regarding the matter. The Japanese international sustained an injury in the match against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League. Furthermore he was spotted leaving the Emirates stadium in crutches. Takehiro Tomiyasu even missed Arsenal’s next match against Crystal Palace. The Gunners won the match 4-1 against Crystal Palace. However the club is yet to make an official announcement regarding the injury of the player.
Takehiro Tomiyasu could be out for a while due to his injury
Charles Watts have expressed his concerns regarding Takehiro Tomiyasu. He believes that the injury looks pretty bad. The injury does not look promising to Watts. The journalist revealed his current understanding of the injury sustained by Takehiro Tomiyasu. Watts explained, “I’m afraid Tomiyasu, again, it’s not looking good. We know that… There’s not been a kind of official announcement yet. They’re still going through the final sort of checks. But it looks bad.” He further added, “All the comments coming from Arsenal are suggesting it’s bad, but they’re waiting to get the final results for all the tests that he’s gone through.” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta himself does not fell that confident about the injury. He was asked about the injury after their win against Palace. The manager shared, “We’ve had one assessment, they need to have another assessment tomorrow, but it’s not looking good, that’s for sure.”
He further went on, “Looking at Tomi, he’s not someone who exaggerates things. He was really concerned straight away, and we are concerned.”
On the other hand Ben White had been the first choice as a right-back for Arteta. But with Takehiro Tomiyasu now injured, it would put a lot of pressure on White. It is really unfortunate for the Japanese international to be out for an injury at this stage of the season.
