Team India meets their Nepal counter-parts

Nepal had a huge opportunity to play against India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. Even though the Rohit Paudel-led side failed to qualify for the Super Fours, they had many unforgettable moments. One such moment came in their match against India. 

However, after the India Nepal game, we got to see some wholesome moment. Some of the Nepal players got to interact with Indian stars. Opener Aasif Sheikh played some incredible cricket. He also hit a half-century against a quality bowling side like India, which he will remember for a long time.

Meanwhile, star cricketer Virat Kohli dropped his catch in the second over of the match. Which gave him an extra lifeline to continue batting and eventually hit a half-century. Meanwhile, after the match, a few Nepal cricketers were honoured with medals, including Aasif, whom Kohli handed over the medal.

Recalling the incident the Nepali opener says,

Virat Kohli jokingly told me ‘I should get a medal too, I dropped your catch,”

Moreover, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Rahul Dravid also give medals to Nepal cricketers. This was a dream come true moment for many Nepal cricketers. Who have grown up watching these stars.

Nepal put a solid performance against India

Talking about the game, India won it comfortably by 10 wickets. However, Nepal impressed everyone by their batting performance. They put 230 runs on the board against strong Indian bowling line-up. All the experts feel Nepal cricket has a very bright future. However, more game-time is needed for them to evolve.

Now, we commences to the Super 4’s of Asia Cup. The men in blue will face their arch-rivals Pakistan on 10th September. Followed by game against Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka on 12th and 15th September respectively. And finals will take place on 17th September, if they proceed. Notably, all games to be take place in Colombo.
