The Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus- Cheek seems to be a little disappointed with the development that he have made at Stamford Bridge. Although he blames his injuries for this lack of development. The midfielder has been a regular in the starting line-ups this season only missing one game out of the 20 games. With N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic’s injuries play a major part in Loftus-Cheek’s starting this season but has clearly taken him longer than usual to be an important player to the squad. After seven years and two loan spells later, the Chelsea midfielder is finally settling in the team and making an impact.

The Chelsea midfielder comments on this time in the team

The young player shared this experience at Stamford Bridge,

“I’m in a phase now where I feel really good, I’m fit, I’m healthy, and I’m playing,”

The versatile midfielder further continued,

“I have had a lot of challenges physically and mentally that have halted my development and made things difficult. The injuries I’ve had have been very difficult to deal with. I have had so much time off the pitch. I haven’t developed as much as I would have liked, but that’s how it goes. The first thing I wanted after so many setbacks and injuries was to feel happy and healthy, and now I do.”

The Chelsea midfielder shared this on the Chelsea website,

“It makes you appreciate the career you’ve had and how I’m feeling now.”
