The Premier League title winners will have a busy transfer window

English Premier League

Manchester City are surely going to see changes in the near future. The Blues could lose some of their significant players but may also gain a few talents. According to sources, Ederson could be leaving City this summer. Moreover, Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne are gaining attention from Saudi Pro League clubs. The Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola also mentioned that he might leave after his contract expires. However, he will be there in the upcoming season as his contract is until 2025. Although the manager has had a brilliant run with the club, he thinks that there is nothing left for him to achieve with Man City. However, the Blues are not only looking at gaining funds but they are also on the hunt for bettering their squad. Currently, Lucas Paqueta and Pedro Neto are on Man City’s list.

Lucas Paqueta is keen on joining Manchester City this summer

Last summer, a deal between Manchester City and Lucas Paqueta almost took place but it did not succeed due to betting breaches. There was an investigation because the 26-year-old was caught in betting activities. Only once the investigation of the Football Association is complete, a move will be made. According to sources, Paqueta wants to join Manchester City and the personal terms have been agreed on. Moreover, the club are also looking forward to signing him. However, West Ham will make sure they gain a huge profit if they sell the Brazilian. Although Paqueta’s performance was hindered due to a calf-injury mid season, he has been great since his return. A move to the Etihad will be massive for the player and the City fans can surely be excited for the future.

Manchester City are focusing on the summer window despite the 115 charges

This season, Everton and Nottingham Forest faced point deductions for breaking the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability rules (PSR). Everton initially got a 10-point deduction which later came down to six, after their appeal. On the other hand, Nottingham Forest lost 4 points for breaching the PSR. Besides Lucas Paqueta, Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers’, Pedro Neto. The Portuguese forward scored 2 goals and provided 9 assists this season in 20 appearances. Unfortunately, Neto suffered several injuries which led him to play only 51 Premier League games in the last three seasons. However, the Portuguese international’s goal contributions this season has attracted many clubs.

Pep Guardiola believes what his team has done is ‘unbelievable’

The Man City boss is incredibly proud of his team’s performance over the years. Manchester City beat West Ham 3-1 in a thrilling game on the final day of the Premier League. This win led them to their fourth consecutive title.

While speaking after the game, Guardiola said,

“In terms of numbers, nobody has been better than us. The records, the goals, the points, the four in a row. I said before, if you ask if you win six of the next seven Premier Leagues, I would say you are unbelievable. It is impossible. We have done something unbelievable.”

However, it is not over yet. Manchester City have one more game to play this season which is the FA Cup final. The Blues will face Manchester City at Wembley. Although Pep’s side are the favorites to win after their exceptional form this season, the Red Devils cannot be underestimated.
