Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette may have waved goodbye to the Gunners after playing their last match against Everton.

Lacazette’s contract ends this summer and he may well leave the London club.

Arsenal played their final game of the season yesterday and thrashed Everton.

The Gunners were on a rampage in their 5-1 win against the Merseyside club.

Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring for Arsenal as Donny Van de Beek pulled one back for the visitors.

Cedric Soares and Gabriel Magalhaes then joined the party, before Martin Odegaard wrapped up the three points for the hosts.

However, they failed to secure the coveted fourth place. Tottenham’s win meant that they held on to their fourth place.

However, Arsenal’s win should surely boost their hopes for next season.

Speculations are doing the rounds of Arsenal spending big this summer. That should also include the future of their striker Lacazette.

Is Lacazette in the scheme of things for Arsenal next summer?

Lacazette’s contract runs out this summer. Moreover, it is understood that Arsenal are willing to let him go.

The French striker joined the Gunners back in 2017. He was brought from Lyon for a healthy 53million Euros.

Lacazette had a good outing with the Premier League club. He scored 71 goals in the 206 games that he played for the club.

However, he just scored six goals from 36 games.

Lacazette will be 31 this month, however, he is no more a goal threat now. Though, his link-up play has been excellent. Still, he lacks in goal scoring now.

Moreover, in 2022 he has only one goal under his name. Therefore, if Arsenal is hoping to achieve something greater next season, they would need a player who consistently scores goals for them.

Lacazette has recently fallen out of favor of Mikel Arteta. Nketiah has got the nod to start before Lacazette.

Lacazette was seen waving to the Gunners fans at the Emirates.

Moreover, Football London claimed Lacazette was in tears when he left the stadium. This could be a prominent indication of his leaving the club this summer.
