Thomas Tuchel not keen on ditching Chelsea for Manchester United?

With the recent sanctions posed on Roman Abramovich by the UK government, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was advised to leave the club. The Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has seen all of his assets in the Uk frozen, which has a massive impact on Chelsea.

UK Government made a public announcement on Thursday morning regarding Roman Abramovich and his assets in the UK. The recent sanctions mean that Chelsea are not allowed to sell any tickets or club merchandise. Only Chelsea season ticket holders are allowed to visit the blue’s home games. While the club are also not allowed to offer any new contract to player nor sign any new players. On top of that, Abramovich’s sale of the European champions was also put on hold.

Roman Abramovich publically announced that he was putting the club up for sale. A lot of parties showed interest. Reports suggest that bids were also made for the club. But with the recent sanctions, things seem to be taking the scroll for the worst.

But things did get worst for the Chelsea faithful as Thomas Tuchel was linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge. The Telegraph reported that a number of clubs were after the German manager’s services, with Premier League against Manchester United also keen on Tuchel’s services.

Former Liverpool defender and now football pundit Jamie Carragher in his column for the Telegraph about Thomas Tuchel wrote:

“Manchester United have been presented with the ideal opportunity to recruit the manager who should be their number one target: Thomas Tuchel.

“All roads have been leading towards Mauricio Pochettino since the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After Paris St-Germain’s latest Champions League failure, Mauricio Pochettino will be available soon.

“But he may have stronger competition for the United job than he could have imagined.”

Despite evening going south at the club. Reports suggest that the German manager is happy at the club and is not looking to switch club. When asked about the impact of the sanctions on the club in a recent interview, Thomas Tuchel said:

“Let’s see if it stays like this,” If it does, I don’t know. We take it day by day. I didn’t see that coming yesterday and I don’t know what is coming tomorrow.

“Everybody can be very sure that we focus on us, to keep the attitude and the mentality right on the training ground and within the team.”So far we can trust each other and this will not change.

“As long as we have enough shirts and a bus to drive to the games we will be there and will compete hard.”
