Thomas Tuchel wants Chelsea to sign Paris Saint-Germain star

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is eager to sign his former club (PSG) midfielder Marco Verratti in this summer’s transfer window. Tuchel is looking forward to bring the Italian to Stamford Bridge to strengthen his midfield.

According to reports from 90min, The Chelsea manager is keen on the thoughts of reuniting with Marco Verratti and is willing to make a move to sign the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder before the end of this summer’s transfer window.

The 28 years old midfielder has been a crucial part of the PSG team. Verratti has spent most of his career at PSG since joining them way back in 2012 from an Italian club Pescara. He has made almost 350 appearances for the French capital playing as a heart of the midfield.

The Italian International might not have found the net so far but is a playmaker and has set his player to score six times in 31 appearances in this season so far. Verratti has also won seven Ligue 1 titles during his time at Parc des Princes.

It would be an interesting signing for Chelsea as Tuchel looks to compete for the Premier League title in the next season.

Possibility of Verratti moving to Chelsea

The PSG midfielder still has more than three years left to run out of his contract with the French champions. With this season approaching towards a disappointing end for PSG, they would be keen to hold upon their heart of midfield.

While Chelsea, after having a disappointing start to their campaign under Frank Lampard, is looking to finish their season on high notes with their new boss. Tuchel has done tremendous work since he arrived at Stamford Bridge. He has managed to take Chelsea to the UEFA Champions League final and also uplifted them to be in a strong position to finish in the top 4.

Tuchel being optimistic about his future at Chelsea will be looking forward to challenging for the league title in the next season. And to do that he will be keen on strengthening the squad in this summer’s transfer window.

During his time as a PSG manager, Tuchel was a big fan of Verratti and was quite impressed with his playing style. It is not only Tuchel who is interested in the Italian but he has also been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City,

However, the chances might be slim as none of the previously linked team could manage to get him out of the French side. Sources close to Verratti have indicated that he would consider a move to the Premier League.
