The mother of all battles, India vs Pakistan is set to happen on October 23 at the iconic MCG. Each time the two rivals clash against each other on a cricket field, the stadium turns standstill. The last time, these two sides faced each other, India were humiliated as they lost the match by 10 wickets. It was for the first time, that their arch-nemesis had defeated the Men In Blue in a World Cup encounter.
As India and Pakistan have stopped playing bilateral cricket because of diplomatic reasons, the craze over their clashes in the mega ICC stage increased exponentially. This time around, as soon as the tickets for the MCG fixture went on sale, it only took 5 minutes to get exhausted. No doubt, very few nations are as passionate about cricket as in the subcontinent.
The Men In Blue in their quest to glory in World T20 will aim to avenge the humiliation of the last year against their old foes. Not to forget, India’s in its maiden WT20 triumph campaign had defeated Pakistan narrowly in the final – one of the most cracking contests in the history of T20.
