Tiemoue Bakayoko might have his contract with Chelsea terminated after his disastrous loan spell. Tiemoue Bakayoko had a disastrous loan spell at AC Milan. The player was an unused substitute for the Italian Club. Milan were trying to avoid an automatic purchase clause based on appearances. Furthermore the French international hasn’t played for Milan since May and the club looks to keep things like that. If Tiemoue Bakayoko appears 15 times in the loan spell to AC Milan, then the automatic purchase clause triggers itself. The midfielder have not played for Chelsea since May 2018. Both Chelsea and Milan are not interested to have the player extend his stay with them. If the player is not released then the player will come back to Samford Bridge for his final season.

Chelsea looking to terminate Tiemoue Bakayoko’s contract with them

Tiemoue Bakayoko is looking as a surplus player to both Chelsea and AC Milan. Chelsea are looking to terminate his contract with them. As if the player is not released he would return to Stamford Bridge for his final season in 2023-24. He would be charging a £120,000-a-week wage on his return. Chelsea would be looking to avoid paying that much for a surplus. Talks are being held to break his loan contract. Although his current contract with Chelsea entitles him a hefty amount of £9m a year as compensation if he decides to depart early. Departing from the Blues would help Tiemoue Bakayoko to revive his career once again. He had failed to make an impression on the club after his £40m transfer move from Monaco back in 2017. Other clubs from Serie A were also interested to hijack the player’s loan agreement with Milan.

Monza have tried to sign the player before AC Milan. But the player’s wage demands have scared off the suitors in recent years. Chelsea would be reluctant to pay Bakayoko £ 120,000 a week. As he is seen as a surplus player in the team. And Chelsea have plans to sign new young talents to build the club’s future. For that, they would like to keep tabs on where they are spending the money. Also, Tiemoue Bakayoko doesn’t fit in the Graham Potter play style.
