Leicester City manager Brendon Rodgers praises Arsenal full-back Keiran Tierney on lcfc.com. Rodgers also termed the player as “outstanding”.

The Irish Manager made such comments before his team’s clash against Arsenal on the weekend. Leicester F.C. will have a tough job in their hand at the Kings Power Stadium as The Gunners are sitting at the top of the table.

Rodgers applauded The 24-year-old Scottish player but also mentioned the fact that his counterpart Oleksandr Zinchenko is also playing a good brand of football, which is the reason Tierney sits on the bench. The full-back played under Rodgers at Celtic.

On Friday, Rodgers said in a Press conference:-

“They signed the two players who are game-changers for them in terms of mentality.

“When you have got the likes of Kieran Tierney on the bench, who is an outstanding player, and because of Zinchenko playing, it shows you the quality of the squad that they have.”

BUT TIERNEY IS STRUGGLING UNDER ARTETA

Kieran Tierney is currently struggling under Arteta due to a lack of game time. Zinchenko is playing in the left-back position and Arsenal Legend Ian Wright praised the Ukrainian for his performance, this season.

Tierney has also struggled with injuries, which hindered his growth at Emirates. He might leave the club in the next transfer window, a lack of game time.

The 24-year-old only featured in 4 starts and 12 substitute appearances, so far. He might see his future elsewhere next season and Newcastle seems interested in the player. Eddie Howe is a big fan of the full-back.

Tierney is anxious about first-team football and is believed to be open to joining the rival Premier League Club.
