Even though Tolisso has won four Bundesliga and one Champions League title with Bayern Munich, he has only made eight appearances this season. His contract is running out in 2022 and there are very few chances that the contract will be renewed.

Tottenham wants to get back in the Champions League and Tolisso can help them achieve that. Tolisso has Champions League experience and also has good experience in big matches. Tottenham already have a pretty decent forward but they need to add depth to their midfield and defense. Tolisso can also play the role of an impact sub and score coming on late. Although he has some disciplinary weaknesses, they can be sorted out under a manager like Conte.
How Tottenham can get the best out of the French midfielder?
Conte has used 3-4-3 at Chelsea and 3-5-2 at Inter Milan winning the league for both sides. It is safe to say that these are Conte’s favourite formations. Tolisso can play with a partner beside him who is more defensive in the 3-4-3 formation. Meanwhile, he can attack more in the 3-5-2 formation with a defensive midfielder guarding their defense. However, Tottenham will not be able to use their fast and frightening wingers like Son and Lucas in the 3-5-2 formation. Tolisso can also play a good role coming off the bench but the decision lies with Conte.
Tottenham will have to be very quick with the deal as the reports also suggest that Inter Milan are also interested in the midfielder. The Serie A giants are also challenging for the title this season and want Tolisso in their squad. Because of Tolisso’s low price, it is easier for other clubs to develop interest and raise his demand. Therefore, Tottenham should secure his services as soon as possible.
