Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has given the injury updates of Micky Van De Ven and James Maddison. It is a major blow for Tottenham and Ange as the two will be out for long. The duo was injured in the first half against Chelsea last week. Owing to their injuries and two red cards, Spurs lost 4-1 at home. The game was a complete chaos and dramatic. Moreover, fans will be more upset for their loss of the players until next year.
Speaking ahead of their clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ange revealed the injury updates. He said,
“Micky obviously, as we saw the other night, was a hamstring injury. Without putting a firm timeline on it, it’s at least a couple of months out for him. So we’re looking at the new year with him.
Similar [for James Maddison]. He got quite a significant ankle injury the other night and was sent for a scan. It wasn’t great, so he’ll be out for a period of time, probably until the new year as well.
Richarlison had his surgery, and to be fair to him, he’s battled through the whole of the season so far, but with the international window coming up, this was a chance to get it done now. He’ll only be [out for] a month, four weeks. Hopefully not too long after the international break.”
Maddison will be a huge loss for the COYS as the Englishman was their anchor for the attack. He scored three goals and five assists in 11 Premier League games. Moreover, Micky was the man Spurs were looking since long in the heart of their defence. Tottenham will be looking to continue their red-hot form but it will be a very tough challenge after losing their two key men.
