Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou shares an angry response after crticism

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou shares an angry response after criticism. Tottenham hired Postecoglou during the summer from Scottish club Celtic. Since then, his side was playing a great ball unless the injuries sabotaged theory momentum. Now, the Australian manager issues an angry response after the defeat against West Ham United. Tottenham lost to the Hammers after leading at home. Moreover, it was there fourth defeat in five games. Goals from Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse secured all three points for West Ham.

Despite this, many believe that Spurs played well and deserved something out of it. Since the arrival of Ange, Tottenham are playing a magnificent game of football. They have been a greatly attacking-minded side and have shown it against the top sides of the Premier League as well. The COYS also played good football before two stinkers costed them the points. Consequently, Postecoglou was furious after the game.

When Paul Miles said Tottenham played some good game during the first half, Ange interrupts and says,

“We weren’t good, we have to get away from that. I don’t believe that. That’s part of the problem.

Everyone’s saying we’re playing good football. Good football means you win games and I’m not here to play good football, I’m here to win. That’s been the clear message from day one to the players, that we play this style of football not to get pats on the back, we play this style of football to win games and bring success to this football club.

You need to embrace that. It’s not easy, I’m not saying it’s easy, but that’s where we need to be.”

The view from the Big Ange is worth a thought for the fans. What is the benefit of playing good football if you are unable to win? His side has now picked only 1 point in last five games which is clearly disappointing. They are even out of the top4 in the table. It will be eye-catching to see how Postecoglou moulds his side to bounce back after these results. Tottenham will be facing another strong side, Newcastle United in their next fixture.
