The London derby and first net-zero carbon football match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur was won by Chelsea. The Blues dominated the Whites in all aspects as they marked their win with a 3-0 scoreline.

Chelsea with their win over has made it to the top of the table winning four of their last five Premier League matches. The Blues have only drawn one game against Liverpool. While Tottenham Hotspur after their 3-0 loss sits in the seventh position winning three of their last 5 games. Spurs had their first loss against Crystal Palace which was 3-0 and second against Chelsea this weekend.

And following the exciting London derby, we will provide you with the match review of the 3-0 scoreline between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Starting XI

Tottenham Hotspur had a 4-3-2-1 formation against Chelsea. The goalkeeping department was led by captain Hugo Lloris. And in front of him was a four-man defence consisting of Royal Emerson, Christian Romero, Eric Dier and Sergio Regulion. The midfield department was handed to Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, and Dele Alli. While in front of them were Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Kane. And lastly, the main striker was Son Heung-min.

Chelsea had a 3-4-2-1 formation as Thomas Tuchel announced his starting eleven against Tottenham Hotspur. In between the sticks was the world’s costliest goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The defence was handled by three-man which consisted of Antonio Rüdiger, Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen. In the midfield was Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho will the left-back was given to Marcos Alonso and right-back wing to Cesar Azpilicueta. Into the advance midfield, there was Kai Havertz and Mason Mount. And the main striking department was given to Romelu Lukaku.

Starting of the first half Tottenham Hotspur looked more dangerous than Chelsea on the pitch. As Spurs were seeing more of the ball and having more counter-attacking chances. However, Chelsea’s Rudiger and Silva duo held the ground strong for Chelsea. Both the centre-back were key in breaking Spurs goal chances by making important interceptions.

Next, despite Spurs having a good 25 minutes on the pitch, Chelsea got their rhythm back as now they were keeping more of the ball. While the Blues had a couple of good chances to open the scoring but failed to do so. And the game was level in the half-time. With the start of the second half Chelsea to have more impact brought on N’Golo Kante in the game.

And the tactical changes for Chelsea paid off as they opened the scoring in the 49th minute. The goal was scored by Thiago Silva who headed the ball into the goal from a corner. Just some minutes later, Chelsea had another chance to double the lead but Marcos Alonso failed to convert his great run from the left side.

From the start of the second half, only Spurs were looking dull on the pitch which was really opposite compared to the first half. Following their less position and suffering more counter-attacks, Spurs conceded a second goal. Kante shot towards the goal which was deflected by a defender. And the dominating Chelsea side was led by two goals in the London Derby.

Chelsea had full control of the match in the second half as they exploited Tottenham Hotspurs spaces. However, they couldn’t take the match into a high scoring despite having a lot of great chances of scoring a goal. The last goal was scored in injury time by Rudiger who had a low shot in the left side of the goal assisted by Timo Werner. Following this, the London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur ended with a 3-0 scoreline.
