Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings for a smashing victory over Morecambe| Winks rated 8

Here we have with us the Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings for their comeback victory against Morecambe. The Lilywhites took down the Shrimps 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during their FA Cup 3rd round clash on Sunday.

A dominating yet questionable performance took Spurs’ FA Cup charge to the next round, with Manchester United vs Aston Villa left as the final game of the 3rd round. Tottenham will now face Brighton in the 4th round tie.

Even though the Premier League side were the better team, the evening started off better for the Shrimps. Poor man marking from Japhet Tanganga saw Morecambe’s Anthony O’Connor score a simple finish off of a corner in the 33rd minute. Spurs kept pushing for a goal in the first half but to no avail.

Antonio Conte’s side burst into action in the final 15 minutes of the game, with a stunning free-kick goal by Harry Winks. Soon, Lucas Moura capitalised from an error by defender Ryan McLaughlin to give Spurs the lead. A final beautiful finish slotted in out of nowhere by Harry Kane decided the result of the evening with a score line of 3-1.

Tottenham Hotspur Player Ratings vs Morecambe

Pierluigi Gollini (GK) (6): Did not have much to do and made just one save in the whole game.

Harry Winks (CM) (8): Scored the equalizer in the 75th minute with a magnificent free-kick. Played out the midfield well and helped on both ends of the pitch.
