Tottenham are on the verge of making a move for Raphinia, claims Fabrizio Romano. According to the post, Arsenal have had a bid for the winger rejected by the club. The proposal by Arsenal was reported to be “not enough” for Leeds.
Tottenham are facing stiff competition from Spanish giants Barcelona. Moreover, they are also facing competition from west London. According to the same report, Todd Boehly is “exploring” the situation for Chelsea.7
Raphinia has had an impressive and spectacular season for Leeds United this season. Always cool and calm under pressure. He played a lot of roles in the Leeds attacking unit. Moreover, his position was a right-winger. It’s his natural position and he excelled in it. And this performance for Leeds has made him one of the most wanted players across Europe.

Barcelona and Arsenal are the most interested in the winger. Tottenham have now joined this race. Barcelona and Raphinia had agreed on personal terms months ago. However, Leeds will never sell the player for €40/45m; Leeds United values the player at around £60 million.
So to sign the player, a suitable offer of a figure around £60 million has to be made for the winger.
Barcelona will have difficulty in signing the player with their current difficult financial situation. They will be looking to re-sign Ousmane Dembele to a new contract. This would negate the need for another wide layer for the club. Moreover, Barcelona has already told Leeds that they cant match up to Leed’s valuation for Raphinia.

Raphinia’s contract runs out in 2024. This means Raphinia might not be going anywhere. But they will have to accept a reduced fee next summer or risk losing him for nothing.
