Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to table a new contract offer to Harry Kane, with the forward now confirming that he intends to stay with them.

Kane was a leading target for Manchester City in the current market. But on Wednesday he cleared the air stating that he will not be leaving Tottenham Hotspur before the summer.

The Englishman has around 3 years left on his current deal with Spurs. The agreement is known to earn him a wage of £230,000-a-week.

Tottenham finally Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur are drawing up an offer to allow Harry Kane to pen a new contract until June 2027, worth £330,000 a week.

Spurs had to put their foot down that they were unwilling to listen to offers under £150,000,000 for the Englishman.

Kane had been attempting to seal a move to Manchester City for a while. However, the deal stalled over Tottenham’s massive asking price. The England captain resorted to many means, including missing his return to pre-season training.

The veteran striker missed Spurs’ opening game of the season, a 1-0 win over Pep’s side. He was even absent for the defeat to Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League.

The 28-year-old returned to action at the weekend. He came on as a second-half substitute as Tottenham conquered Wolves at Molineux. He was met by chants including “He wants to be Manc” by the home crowd.

Kane enjoyed an excellent 2020-21 campaign, scoring 33 times and assisting a further 17 in 49 appearances. With his future seemingly certain for the time being, the striker now appears set to start in the Europa Conference League play-off against Pacos de Ferreira.
